Mayor Joel Flores

 

Mayor Joel Flores was first elected as Mayor of Greenacres in March 2017, and re-elected unopposed in March 2020. 

Raised by a single hard-working mother who is a teacher, Mayor Flores learned early on in his life the value of education, hard work, and commitment.  He worked full-time while earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Lyndon State College and his Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University while helping to raise his three young children.

Mayor Flores, a 13 year decorated ARMY Veteran, earned the ARMY Commendation Medal and ARMY Accomplishment Medal for his distinguished duty and service in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.

Currently, Mayor Flores serves as the Vice President of Business Development & Small Business Initiatives for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, where he oversees approximately 1,000 businesses and organizations in the northern part of Palm Beach County.  His primary focus is enhancing and fostering economic development while advocating on behalf of businesses throughout the county. 

Mayor Flores continues to serve his community by volunteering for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Pediatric Oncology Support Team.  He also serves on the Business Partnership Council for Palm Beach State College.  

Along with being a devoted father of three, Mayor Flores coaches basketball, and mentors children in our community. Mayor Flores loves playing basketball and baseball, and mentoring entrepreneurs on his free time.
