Our Mission
The Information Technology (IT) Department is dedicated to providing innovative technological solutions in support of all departments, enabling the government of the City of Greenacres to provide the highest degree of services to its residents, businesses and visitors.
Division Functions - We Do IT
IT staff is responsible for the evaluation, implementation and administration of all computer, printer, network and communication systems for the City, as well as technical support and training for all users of these systems.
- Network connectivity to internal, County and Internet resources
- Network and data security (scheduled backups, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus, anti-malware, alert monitoring), etc.
- Public WiFi availability at multiple City locations
- Networked surveillance camera systems
- Modern security solutions for the Youth Programs Division
- Site access control system
- Biometric Check-in and Check-out of registered students by authorized individuals
- Surveillance Cameras
- 24/7 IT Support for Greenacres Fire Rescue
- Management of the City's Electronic Document Database as an environmental initiative
