BUSINESS TAX APPLICATION SUBMITTALS

Applications and all required documentation can either be mailed or hand delivered with the non-refundable business tax fee as determined by the type of business or rental property using our fee calculation worksheet to 5800 Melaleuca Ln, Greenacres, FL 33463.

Upon final approval, the applicant will be notified via email with further instructions.

Inspections are conducted by our Fire Department. (Note: You must apply for the business tax receipt and be approved before any inspection can be requested.)

***AS OF 01/22/2024, RENTAL INSPECTIONS ARE NOW DONE BY AFFIDAVIT***

To schedule an inspection, by email only, email fireinspections@greenacresfl.gov between 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday thru Friday (no inspections can be scheduled by phone). Please note that inspection dates and times may vary from time to time. If a date and/or time is not available, you will be notified.

Please leave the following details when requesting an inspection:

  • Date you want the inspection
  • Contact name and phone number (must be onsite for the inspection)
  • Name and address of the business
  • Copy of receipt for proof of payment and approval email

The City of Greenacres code of ordinances requires any person or entity operating a business within the city limits to have a local business tax receipt issued by the City. The tabs below provide information and documentation needed to submit the application for a new business or rental property.
