Bid No. 25-007 Original Section Sewer Swain Boulevard North Phase 3
Sealed bids for ORIGINAL SECTION SEWER SWAIN BOULEVARD NORTH PHASE 3 will be received by the City of Greenacres, Florida at the office of the Director of Purchasing 5800 Melaleuca Lane, Greenacres, Florida 33463, until 3:00 pm Thursday, April 24, 2025. At that time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after the designated closing time will be returned unopened.
All bids shall be submitted in duplicate, in one sealed envelope addressed to the Director of Purchasing and marked "SEALED BID - BID NUMBER 25-007 ORIGINAL SECTION SEWER SWAIN BOULEVARD NORTH PHASE 3". The base bid work consists of furnishing and installation of gravity sanitary sewer mains and manholes between 6’ and 12’ deep, sanitary sewer lateral pipe, sewer cleanouts, demolition of existing pavement, pavement restoration, sod restoration, re-striping and signage, installation of new PBCWUD lift station including station, control panel, pump equipment, electrical service to station, filling of existing station, and all other items and work required and incidental thereto. Bidders desiring plans and specifications for use in preparing bids may obtain a set of such documents from DemandStar at www.demandstar.com.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2025 virtually via Microsoft Teams. A mandatory site inspection form must be signed and submitted with bids. Bids received from Bidders not submitting the mandatory site inspection form will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected.
Each bidder shall file with their bid, a bond issued by an authorized surety licensed to do business in the State of Florida, a certified check, a cashier’s check or bid bond, made payable to the City of Greenacres, Florida in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the sum total of the bid, which shall be retained by the City of Greenacres until a contract for the project has been executed. Bid bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders upon request, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. Performance and payment bonds in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required to be provided to the City prior to contract execution. The bid deposit of the successful bidder and the second qualifying bidder will be returned when the required performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates have been furnished and the Contract Documents have been executed.
This project is funded by a COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT administered through Palm Beach County Department of Economic Sustainability. Davis-Bacon & Related Acts, including wage rates, will apply to all construction work performed on this project. Small, woman owned, minority, Section 3 companies, and/or disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to bid on this project.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date set for the opening thereof. The obligations of the CITY under this award are subject to the availability of funds lawfully appropriated for its purpose by the City Council.
