The City of Greenacres holds the Annual City Photo Contest every year, from January to September. Be sure to follow our social media and sign up for the City's newsletter to get updates on upcoming events.

Capture the Beauty of Greenacres!
From January 1 to September 5, 2025, photographers of all ages are encouraged to send those great shots of the City’s stunning architecture, beautiful parks, events, local businesses, or our residents and visitors having fun in the city! The photo must be of a scene taken in Greenacres, Florida. Photos submitted may be used by the City for marketing and/or promotional purposes.

Photo contest is open to residents, non residents, and City employees.
Prizes and Recognition:
Winners will be announced at a City Council Meeting and recognized via social media and the City’s website.
Prizes in the form of gift cards will be awarded to the winning photo of each category which will be decided by a selection committee.
The three winning photos will be displayed in a City facility for a minimum of three months.
Contest Rules:
- Capture the Beauty of Greenacres! All of the photos submitted must be within Greenacres city limits. Any photos which were taken outside of City limits will be disqualified.
- Photos must be submitted with name, location of picture, and best contact number.
- Photographers of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate! Youth participants must have authorization from a parent/guardian.
- Contestants can submit up to two (2) photos per category with a total of six (6) photo entries per contestant. The photo contest coordinator(s) may reassign entries to a more appropriate category as needed.
- Contestants are only eligible to win on one (1) submission.
- If photos are taken via a Cell Phone, the photo must be submitted Actual Size. Images with resolution lower than the requested size will not enlarge and print clearly for framing, resulting in disqualification for judging. The preferred photo should be high resolution with a minimum measurement of 2560 x 1980 pixels at 300 DPI and a file size of no less than 3MB.
- Photo contest coordinator(s) will screen all entries for appropriate resolution and size before judging.
- Submission groups are broken down in 3 groups: Nature & Wildlife, Special Events & Programs, Parks & Landmarks.
- The Selection Committee will consist of an employee representative from each City Department and photo contest sponsor when applicable.
- Photos must be an original work created by the entrant and must not violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, moral rights, privacy/publicity of another person or entity, and/or no other party has the rights to the photo. Photographs must be clear of watermarks or logo branding.
- Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the City of Greenacres in its sole discretion, are ineligible for all categories of this contest.
- Photos which have not been received within the contest period will not be considered.
- Photos taken during any year are eligible, so long as they have not been entered in a previous year's edition of the contest.
- The City of Greenacres reserves the right to change any of the rules for the contest as necessary. Rule changes would be announced via the Contest website page at https://greenacresfl.gov/administration/webform/photo-contest
- All photo submissions must be completed at the aforementioned link along with the contestant’s information.
