Ribbon Cutting Support
The City of Greenacres offers Ribbon Cutting Support to new or expanding businesses within City Limits at no cost. The goal is to make the moment memorable and share it with the community to bring awareness to the business.
The support consists of the following:
- Attendance of Elected Officials and/or Staff (as schedule permits) with brief remarks,
- Ribbon and Scissors to mark the official opening,
- Photography and/or Video during the ceremony to share on the City’s social media platforms.
Guidelines
Ribbon cutting ceremonies are reserved for new or newly renovated businesses and groundbreaking events. Businesses open or renovated for more than three months will not be eligible for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Businesses requesting a ribbon cutting ceremony should first fill out the online form. No ribbon-cuttings will be scheduled without a submitted form.
Businesses must have an active Business Tax Receipt with City of Greenacres before requesting a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Businesses must request a ribbon-cutting ceremony at least two weeks in advance of the anticipated ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Department of Economic Development reserves the right to suggest an alternative date in case of a scheduling conflict.
Dates are first come, first serve.
