The City of Greenacres strives to equip residents with the skills and support needed to obtain and sustain well-paying employment and is working with local organizations and higher education institutions to create solid partnerships to serve the local workforce.
View the available workforce training and support programs offered to employers and employees in and around Greenacres, including those offered through private and public means.
- CareerSource Palm Beach: Provides no-cost workforce solutions such as job search, career consulting, job postings, candidate pre-screening, training opportunities and more.
- On-the-job Training (OJT): Provides employers financial assistance for training new employees in the skills they need to effectively perform their jobs.
- Quick Response Training Program: Provides grant funding for customized training for new or expanding businesses.
- Young Adult Program: offers several tracks to help young adults between the ages of 16-24 develop educational, occupational and leadership skills.
- Unemployment assistance : Provides temporary wage replacement benefits to qualified individuals who are out of work through no fault of their own.
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program: Through the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Program, employers can earn a federal tax credit between $1200 and $9600 per employee. This tax credit is dependent upon the new employee qualifying as a member of one of the target groups and working a minimum of 120 hours in their first year.
