Municipal Election Information
Next Municipal Election Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
Qualifying Period: begins Noon November 4, 2025 until Noon November 11, 2025.
Office seats up for election:
Council Districts 2, 3 and 4 (4 year terms).
Qualifications to run for Office
- Candidate must be a citizen of the United States.
- Candidate must be a registered voter.
- Candidate must be 18 years of age.
- Candidate must have one continuous year of residency at the time of qualifying.
- Candidate must reside in the district for the Council seat to which they seek to be elected.
- (the Mayor seat may reside in any district)
How to become a Candidate
- Persons interested in becoming a candidate must file an Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Depository for Candidates, Statement of Candidate and a Notice of Intent to seek Office with the City Clerk prior to opening a campaign account. Contact the City Clerk to set an appointment. See the below links.
