Our Mission

The Human Resources Division provides benefit administration, employee training, and guides the efforts of recruiting a highly professional and qualified workforce to assist in fulfilling the City’s mission.

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Division serves as a strategic partner to the City by directly supporting its’ departments and employees.  Staff are provided with the same respect and encouraging attitude that the leadership expects all employees to share with internal and external customers of the City.

The Division provides support with recruiting, selecting and retaining employees, developing employees through training and coaching, and implementing risk management control measures.  The Division is also responsible for the administration of benefits to include health/dental/life insurance and wellness programs, annual events, payroll, compensation and classifications, personnel records, employee relations, retirement and risk management.

In addition, Human Resources is responsible for facilitating the procurement and administration of insurance policies and effectively managing the workforce within the frame work of Federal and State statutes, City Directives, Policies and Procedures.
