Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico

The City of Greenacres is honored to recognize Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico, as its Sister City.

This partnership reflects shared values of economic growth, education, culture, civic collaboration, and community pride. The relationship also recognizes the strong Hispanic and Mexican cultural presence in Greenacres and creates a bridge for future collaboration between residents, businesses, institutions, and local government leaders.

Celaya is a municipality in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico. In 2020, Celaya had a population of 521,169 residents. The community is also an important economic center, with international sales in 2024 totaling approximately $1.48 billion, led by industries such as motor vehicle parts and accessories, engine parts, and filtration-related products.
