City personnel delivered $10,000 worth of toys to Estero Fire Rescue

Toys received from toy Drive

For the past 2 months, the City of Greenacres and Greenacres Fire Rescue hosted a Toy Drive. This year, the City partnered with Estero Fire Rescue, a community heavily impacted by Hurricane Ian to donate the toys to. At the conclusion of the drive, the City received approximately $10,000 worth of toys.

Monetary donations were received by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Foundation, a former city employee, Greenacres Fire Rescue Personnel and the Professional Firefighters/Paramedics of Palm Beach County - Local 2928 IAFF. These donations were used to purchase new toys. Additional toy collection sites included: Greenacres Bowl, Pete’s Place, Beltone, Dillman Farms HOA and Rosenthal, Levy, Simon & Sosa: South Florida Injury Lawyers. We are grateful for the community and our partners in making this such a success!

On Thursday, December 8, City staff, Greenacres Fire Rescue personnel, and members from Boynton Beach Fire Rescue, who also raised toys for Estero, made the trip over to Estero to drop off all of the toys raised.

We are proud that our community came together to assist another community in a time of need and we know these toys will make their way into good hands.
