Rental Business

The City of Greenacres Code of Ordinances requires property owners who lease or rent residential dwelling units to have a valid Business Tax Receipt. Applicants need to complete the rental application and submit along with a copy of your Palm Beach County Property Appraiser Property Detail Sheet (acquired from their website, www.pbcgov.org/PAPA) and pay the required fees.

If the property is owned by an LLC, Corporation, etc., you must also submit a copy of the Articles of Incorporation or your LLC and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).

Important Notice

City Ordinance 2008-01 prohibits sexual offenders and predators from residing within 1500 feet from any public or private school, public library, daycare center, park, playground, community center, day camp or other place where children congregate. Property owners can visit the FDLE website offender.fdle.state.fl.us for a current list of sexual offenders or predators.

***AS OF 01/22/2024, RENTAL INSPECTIONS ARE DONE BY AFFIDAVIT***

Once the application and payment have been processed, we will email the affidavit to the applicant. The applicant must complete the affidavit and have it notarized attesting that they have complied with the Fire Regulations as listed with the affidavit within 30 days.
