Applying for a Permit

 

PERMIT & PLAN SUBMITTAL INSTRUCTIONS

Permit applications and plans are only being accepted electronically. Plans must be submitted in a PDF format, unlocked and available for markup. Plans shall be electronically stamped and signed as required. Email documents to: permitcenter@greenacresfl.gov 

The email subject line must indicate: Job Address, Type of submittal (New Permit Submittal, Permit Payment, Plan Review Comments, Revision, etc.)

Upon final approval, the applicant will be contacted via phone or emailed with instructions on how to pay permit fees.  Once payments are received the permit and approved plans will be emailed to you. 

Owner Builder Requirements: As the owner  of a one-family or two-family residential property, if you reside in the home you can act as your own contractor with certain restrictions. You can read about these restrictions in the Owner-Builder Affidavit & Disclosure Statement form, which must be completed by the property owner and notarized. This affidavit must be submitted with your permit application.
