BTR Inspections
COMMERCIAL BUSINESS INSPECTIONS:
Inspections are conducted by our Fire Department. (Note: You must apply for the business tax receipt and be approved before any inspection can be requested.)
To schedule an inspection, by email only, email fireinspections@greenacresfl.gov between 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday thru Friday (no inspections can be scheduled by phone). Please note that inspection dates and times may vary from time to time. If a date and/or time is not available, you will be notified.
Please leave the following details when requesting an inspection:
- Date you want the inspection
- Contact name and phone number (must be onsite for the inspection)
- Name and address of the business
- Copy of receipt for proof of payment and approval email

RENTAL PROPERTY INSPECTIONS:
***AS OF 1/22/24, RENTAL INSPECTIONS ARE DONE BY AFFIDAVIT***
Once the application and payment have been processed, we will email the affidavit to the applicant. The applicant must complete the affidavit and have it notarized attesting that they have complied with the Fire Regulations as listed with the affidavit within 30 days.
